I am a member of the Kiwanis Club of Alliance, Ohio, and have served on the Board of Directors and as President. Currently, I serve as our webmaster. I enjoy the many service projects in which the Club enables me to participate. Here is a link to the Kiwanis International Page, if you'd like more information on the organization.
My wife Karen and I are also members of Union Avenue United
Methodist Church in Alliance. Karen, a flutist, performs in the
Canton Concert Band, and is principal flutist in the Tuscarawas
Philharmonic. Karen is the Systems Coordinator at the Rodman
Public Library and is Webmaster of the Rodman Public Library
Website.
Around the year 2000, I started to develop some ideas about a
fictional sleuth who just happens to be a symphonic
conductor. To date, I have written (under a pen name) three
novellas that "star" the crime-solving maestro, Marc
Erickson. For further information on the Maestro Erickson
Mysteries, please visit troygavine.com.
As a former member of the East Buffalo Media Association, I have
been following the work visual artist/percussionist John Toth has
been doing on an E.B.M.A.
page. Part of my more recent new music/intermedia work has
involved building a couple of theremins, learning to play them,
and writing a theatre piece for two actors, strings, brass (or
organ), and theremin. I am also putting together a theremin page
with photos, links, and sound files.
Chuck the Cat welcomes you to my Theremin Page. Please click on the electronically savvy feline below to link to the page.
