Degree Requirements

(A more printer friendly pdf checklist of requirements is available here).

The University of Mount Union offers a Major and a Minor in Environmental Science.  Below is an outline of both programs.  Full requirements for a degree are found in the Mount Union Catalogue.

Major in Environmental Science

The major requires students to complete four Core courses in environmental science, four Breadth Experience courses, and to chose a group of courses from one of three Depth Experience (Geology, Chemistry, or Biology).   Requirements for each part of the major are listed below.  In addition to the requirements for the major students must complete all of the colleges general education requirements and complete the requirements for a minor in another field.

Details of the requirements are available below.  Scroll down this page or click on the following links for details of the Core RequirementsBreadth Experience, Geology Depth Experience, Chemistry Depth Experience, or Biology Depth Experience.

Minor in Environmental Science

The minor requires students to complete three environmental science courses, and to chose eight additional semester hours in either Biology, Chemistry or Geology as  outlined in the table below.  Click here for more information.

A more printer friendly checklist of  both the Environmental Science major and minor requirements is available as a pdf file here.
