The Department of English at Mount Union and its faculty are committed to helping students live fulfilling and responsible lives by nurturing imagination, historical and critical understanding, and the ability to explore and communicate ideas through writing. We welcome the challenge of encouraging students to develop both their own confident and vital world view and a genuine openness to points of view other than their own. We also encourage students to recognize the deep cultural grounding of individual perspectives and to begin to understand how knowledge is produced. |
