Welcome to District 13 Science Day!!

Science Day 2014: Saturday, March 8, 2014!

The University of Mount Union is proud to be the host for the annual Ohio District 13 Science Day!

Ohio District 13 Science Fair is one of 16 District Science Fairs in Ohio and is governed by the Junior Academy of the Ohio Academy of Science. Our District Council is responsible for the organization of this fair each year. This fair is open to 5th*-12th graders from the following counties: Carroll, Stark, and Tuscarawas. Students must receieve a Superior rating at their local science fair in order to compete at the District level.

*5th and 6th graders may compete at the District level; however, they may only proceed to the State level if the District 13 quota is not filled by 7th-12th graders. Any student wishing to compete at the State level must receive a Superior rating at the District level.

 

Note: Students who are home-schooled or come from schools where local science fairs are not held may submit their projects to the District 13 Scientific Review Committee for possible entry into Ohio District 13 Science Day; however, all projects must follow the Ohio Academy of Science Science Day Standards and be submitted for review no later than February 7, 2014.

 

 

 

 

Important Dates

February 7, 2014: Last day to submit request to participate in District 13 Science Fair if outside District 13 (see District Fair page for more info)

February 21, 2014: Online participant registration closes; all fees and project forms due

February 28, 2014: Online judge and volunteer registration closes

March 8, 2014: District 13 Science Day at the University of Mount Union

May 10, 2014: State Science Day at The Ohio State University
